Back in 2018, UXVN started with a humble meetup in Phú Nhuận District, gathering just 30–40 people. Since then, we’ve grown through countless milestones: our first international event with over 200 attendees, and most recently, UXVN 2024 in both Hà Nội and HCMC, welcoming more than 700 participants. This journey wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of over 50 passionate volunteers who helped bring each event to life.
Today, I’m announcing that UXVN has completed its mission.
As the founder, my goal was always to build a space for UX practitioners in Vietnam; a place to share, connect, and support one another. When UXVN began, there were very few local communities focused on UX. Today, I’m proud to see a vibrant, diverse ecosystem of groups and initiatives growing across the country.
Over time, due to my increasingly full schedule and the absence of a long-term plan, UXVN was not able to maintain the momentum it once had. While this chapter comes to a close, I truly believe the next generation of designers is already shaping a stronger, more connected design community in Vietnam.
